Interestingly, your lips are the first place that dehydration presents itself during harmattan. Use this as a sign of when you should be more attentive to your skin. So be sure to use a lip scrub and intense balm or preferably, go for lip gloss which is common in the market during such period .

3. Plan to pamper your skin
In order to get rid of those old skin cells once and for all, it is worth booking in for a facial treatment at the beginning of the harmattan season. It might be expensive, but your face will thank you for it. Pick up an exfoliation glove and make sure you use it regularly.

This is a well-recognised component to achieving great skin. You should drink about two litres of water every day. It gives you a radiant, healthier, younger-looking complexion by keeping your skin hydrated from the inside.

It is important to pay attention to how your skin reacts to the change in climate over the dry season. It may well be that you have to alter your skin care products to suit different seasons, because what works for you in the wet season might not work in the harmattan.

6. Get all the Vitamin C you need
Vitamin C is a natural sun protection which can be used in different ways. You can either consume lots of citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons, or apply the miracle vitamin directly to your face. This allows for a more concentrated target area, thus resulting in a more noticeable change on the affected areas of your skin.
